PADI Search and Recovery Specialty Instructor

Search and recovery is both a useful skill and an enjoyable challenge. It’s the kind of activity in which you can learn the basics in a couple of days, yet not fully master all the nuances in hundreds of dives. Accomplishing a fin search or raising a lost anchor sounds reasonable, but it may seem impossible to find a contact lens lost in an Olympic-sized pool, or a wedding ring that fell into a river a week earlier, or a dive mask buried so only the strap shows a bit in a silty low-viz lake. Yet all these have actually been accomplished by recreational divers – search and recovery artists, if you will, who rose to the challenges these endeavors demand.

Learn to Search and Recovery Diver Specialty Course

The PADI Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course develops student divers ability to locate and retrieve lost articles, large and small, within recreational limits. divers will find the course challenging – divers only find something in a large area quickly when they are lucky. And, they will find it rewarding because there’s something satisfying about coming upon something lost in an area so huge, that it seemed impossible to find. It’s equally satisfying to ascend slowly and in control raising more weight under a lift bag than they could comfortably carry up.

As a PADI Instructor you need role model skills to plan and execute a successful search and recovery dive.

You will get the confidence, knowledge and skills necessary to teach student divers how to organize, plan and participate in search & recovery dives.

The Search & recovery course teaches divers how to conduct search patterns and use lifting devices to search for and recover objects of different sizes in varying search areas.
