As with most PADI Specialty Diver courses, the PADI DPV Diver course emphasizes diving, and you will make with your students at least two DPV dives in open water. You’ll have fun on these dives while developing and refining the skills you students need for DPV diving.

The course includes the background information that they will need, which includes general maintenance information, battery types and information that will help them choose a DPV suited to their needs and interests. they will cover this information by interacting with eLearning and watching the integrated PADI DPV Diving video, and by discussing the material with you prior to their dives. you may decide to have more formal class meetings and/or practice sessions.

You will also teach your students correct control techniques when diving on a DPV, not just for their safety but also to avoid damaging the fragile marine ecosystem.

You will also mentor your students on how to interact with marine life when diving with a DPV safely.

The PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle specialty course philosophy is to focus on extending the adventure; going further, staying longer and to see more on all your dives with an underwater propulsion vehicle.
